The distinction between laziness and time/energy prioritization lies in the intention and mindset behind one's choices and actions.
Laziness is characterized by a lack of motivation or willingness to exert effort. It often involves avoiding tasks or responsibilities without a valid reason.
Time and energy prioritization involve making conscious decisions about how to allocate one's resources based on importance, urgency, and personal goals.
High level people are sometimes perceived as lazy, because their brain activity cannot be perceived by the naked eye.
This leads to an external perception and conversation about a person's work ethic.
Great strategists and creatives operate in a totally different mental space.
I work hard in the material, but I must admit that it is often to appear as if I am worth the money.
That is not productivity though, that is slave labor.
If you want to evolve intellectually, become comfortable with being perceived as lazy. This quest requires a lot of isolated time in self inquiry.
It may appear as if you are not doing anything and you lack motivation. You are weaving thoughts and ideas together that create a bigger picture map of things.
This is no waste of time and is in fact, an honorable intention.
Self development is never a waste of time. Just because you are producing less material outcomes for some time, does not mean you are lazy.
Also, in society, people serve different roles. Some thrive in that material productivity, "look what I did", role.
We also need strategists and creatives who are okay with sitting there in the chaos and resolving it from a higher level.
To get to that level, they may call you lazy though.
I get called the unmotivated hippie often here in New York. Hippie, yes. Unmotivated, not at all.
Pick and choose your battles. This is one of those higher level understandings.
You can see and hear what is being said about you. But, you don't need to respond. Keep in mind that you picked up on this and maybe begin piecing together a whole picture.
Take the time to self reflect and make sense of things.
You'll be moving and thinking faster than everybody else in no time.
And this is coming from the girl who was genuinely dyslexic throughout grade school. Would you call a second grader struggling to read lazy?
That's how it is with deeper insights and true learning.
You start out dyslexic. You can stay dyslexic and do manual labor. Or you can push through mentally and face the stigma of the philosopher.
The philosopher pieces universal understandings into one sentence.
Is that lazy?
