Lower your expectations, be happy.

Writer: Liz SokoLiz Soko

We raise our expectations, thinking if we reach them… we will be happy.

The answer is to lower your expectations. Lower your happiness threshold.

What does it take for a person to be happy?

Sunshine, a glass of water, a nice piece of clothes, a phone call, a reliable job.

How to be happy

Attend events that fill your heart. Art events, dinners, and museums. Pay the ticket and have a lifetime of experience in a few hours.

Find a job that makes your happy. You will be more productive and successful, even if other people scoff at your role.

You will be the one smiling. You will be the one with the freedom to use your energy creatively and create positive relationships in this world.

Organize your day around your interests. This is a real shortcut. If your day is filled with things you absolutely hate, what do you think the outcome will be?

Lower your expectations for your body too.

It moves. Your muscles work. You can smile.

What else do you need?

Strive only in areas that interest you and make you happy.

Otherwise, what and who are you striving for?

Simplify your life. Make more selective choices around who you keep in your life and what you do with your time.
